Travel consultant - £ Very competitive

New Year … new challenge? We are currently seeking a motivated and dynamic travel consultant to join our team in organising medical flight repatriations on behalf of clients worldwide. The role is interesting due to the variety of situations that arise, examples of which are below:
Escorted stretcher repatriation
A holidaymaker has a heart attack. We arrange the following:
1) Medical clearance with airline (obtaining airline’s authority to allow patient to travel in current condition).
2) Nurse escort to fly out to assess patient.
3) An overnight stay for escort close to patient’s hospital.
4) Stretcher and oxygen on commercial airline as well as economy seats for patient, travelling companion and escort.
Repatriation with extra seats
Skier breaks a leg. We arrange:
1) Medical clearance.
2) Two extra seats on original flight.
3) Wheelchair assistance.
General repatriation
Infant has chicken pox while on holiday with family. We:
1) Extend the original hotel stay by 1 week (infant cannot fly until non-contagious).
2) Ensure infant has a ‘Fit to Fly’ certificate
3) Arrange new flight for infant and relatives.
We are looking for a personality that will integrate easily as teamwork is vital in ensuring that our work is completed efficiently. In addition to this, self motivation and the ability to work well under pressure are crucial as the role can involve working alone frequently and, as a result, can be demanding at times.
Travel experience is an advantage but not essential as full training will be given.
As part of a small team, the role requires flexibility in terms of shift patterns. On average we work one late shift per week (which includes being on call overnight) as well as one weekend a month (which again includes being on call overnight).
